What is CodeGroove?
CodeGroove is a retro-style game maker.
Originally created as a way to teach young people to code, CodeGroove is now free and open to game authors of all ages.
Create worlds from simple building blocks: Make a maze out of walls, keys, and doors then add some treasure and guard it with a fearsome dragon. Want something larger? Build a town with houses and shops to be explored.
Add machines: perhaps a floor pad that opens a door, or a sensor trap ready to blow a stack of TNT. Add custom graphics, set some music, and share your world with your friends.
Once you're comfortable with the CodeGroove editor, why not try adding robots? Robots are special blocks which you can program to act like living characters, custom items, narration and cutscene points, or anything else you can imagine.
CodeGroove is web-based and runs in a browser.
